The service

Stonelore takes a photograph of a structure and uses artificial intelligence to produce a narrated history and, on eligible plans, a longer research article and GPS trail tracking.

AI-generated content — accuracy

Stonelore narrations and articles are generated by artificial intelligence from a photograph. They may contain errors, omissions or invented details, and are not verified scholarship. Do not rely on them for academic, legal, engineering or commercial purposes without independent verification.

Identification of a structure from a photograph is a best guess. Dates, architects, patrons, costs and events may be wrong. Nothing on Stonelore is professional, historical, architectural, engineering or legal advice.

Your photographs

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading, you grant us a licence to process the image to produce your story, and — for stories you choose to save — to host and display it at the share link you create. You confirm that:

• You took the photograph or otherwise have the right to use it.
• It does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
• Photographing and sharing the subject is lawful where you are — some sites, including military, government and certain cultural or private property, restrict photography.

You are responsible for what you upload. If you believe content on Stonelore infringes your rights, email legal@stonelore.org with the share link and details, and we will review and remove it where appropriate.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload unlawful, hateful, sexual or deliberately misleading material.
• Do not attempt to bypass narration limits, plan gating or payment.
• Do not scrape, resell or bulk-redistribute generated content as if it were verified reference material.

Free narrations and plans

Everyone gets three free narrations. Beyond that, a paid plan is required. Plans are sold as recurring subscriptions with the narration allowance shown on the Plans page. Prices are in US dollars, and tax is added at checkout where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Availability

Plans are sold only in countries where our checkout can handle tax compliance end to end. We provide the service as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stonelore Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
